Conveniently located just southwest of Houston, Edgewater Studios is situated only three minutes from the Southwest Freeway at Williams Trace Blvd, and just 13 minutes from inner-loop Houston. Our studios are in the heart of Sugar Land, TX - one of the safest cities in America filled with plenty of dining, shopping, hotel, and entertainment options nearby.

ABOUT THE STUDIO

SPACE

Edgewater Studios was professionally-designed by Jeff Hedback of HDAcoustics, whose studios feature annually in Mix Magazine. It was purpose-built from the ground up to be one of the finest world-class recording studios in Texas, featuring an amazing control room, three isolation booths, large tracking room that can accommodate groups or video recording, and break area with flatscreen TV, cable, streaming services, refrigerator, and coffeemaker.

MONITORING

The monitoring design (featuring Focal and Genelec monitors) and room tuning was done by Russ Berger (NFL Network, Lakewood Church, Paragon Studios). Russ is the former President of the National Council of Acoustical Consultants and a Fellow in the Acoustical Society of America. He has certified the mix position at Edgewater as “extremely accurate,” which is why our audio work translates well across any medium or application.

EQUIPMENT

In addition to a large and diverse mic locker, a workhorse Pro Tools HDX System with a massive plugin library, and preamplification and analog processing from the biggest names in audio (Neve, API, Focusrite, Vintech, Empirical Labs, PreSonus), Edgewater Studios also features remote recording capabilities via SourceConnect and Audio Movers. We’re grateful to be trusted by some of the biggest production companies, studios, and film/TV producers in LA and NYC to record their Texas-based talent.
